We invite museum professionals and the general public to this lecture exploring an approach to audience research that goes beyond visitor metrics by incorporating listening, interpretation, and the analysis of visitor experiences.
Drawing on work developed at the Casa del Alabado Museum of Pre-Columbian Art, the lecture will present a methodology that combines qualitative and quantitative approaches to analyze the experiences of self-guided and mediated visits. This approach transforms visitor surveys into tools for listening and learning, supporting the museum’s ongoing improvement.
This lecture was presented at the First Ibero-American Meeting on Audience Studies in Museums, held in Mexico City, and is now being presented at the Casa del Alabado Museum to share this experience with our audiences.
Participants: Estefanía Carrera Yépez, Education Coordinator at the Casa del Alabado Museum of Pre-Columbian Art
Free admission, registration required | Reservation at: educacion@alabado.org
